New news coming from the US Government. The office of the Press Secretary recently Buy released a statement about the state of oil in the USA. The statement, which took special care to look at how the nation is fairing in terms of oil reserves in terms of importing from Iran, was cautiously optimistic in its tone. The report, for reasons of accuracy, only deals with issues related to the upcoming 2013 fiscal year.

The statement reads, in its entirety, as follows, ai???Today the President made the determination required under Section 1245(d)(4)(B) and (C) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 regarding the supply of petroleum and petroleum products from countries other than Iran. The analysis contained in the Energy Information Administrationai??i??s report of October 25, 2012, indicates that although production disruptions continue to remove some oil from the market and the international response to concerns about Iranai??i??s nuclear activities may have increased demand for non-Iranian crude oil, production increases in other countries and weaker demand growth overall have mitigated oil market tightness to a degree. There currently appears to be sufficient supply of non-Iranian oil to permit foreign countries to significantly reduce their import of Iranian oil, taking into account current estimates of demand, increased production by countries other than Iran, inventories of crude oil and petroleum products, and available strategic petroleum reserves.Ai?? In this context, it is notable that many purchasers of Iranian crude oil have reduced their purchases or announced they are in productive discussions with alternative suppliers.ai???

The office did not, in any detail go on to offer information about what kind of alternate suppliers may be used in the current situation. The worries about Iran and oil supply come primarily from the sanctions that the nation is facing over its nuclear programs. While the government of Iran claims that it is enriching uranium only for power purposes, other nations fear that the country is developing nuclear weapons with the technology. For the time being experts, which estimate that about 40 percent of the governments revenues come from oil sales, are predicting that these kids of sanctions are likely to send the company into a recession.

On Monday, during an interview on CNBC, former General Electric Co. CEO Jack Welch expressed his doubts on the government jobs data put across by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. ai???Every fact says we donai??i??t have a booming economy,ai??? said Welch, ai???Somethingai??i??s wacky here. I didnai??i??t think it was right.ai??? When the BLS government jobs data released on October 5 showed the jobless rate the lowest since President Barack Obama entered White House in January 2009, Welch wrote a Twitter post, ai???Unbelievable jobs numbers ai??i?? these Chicago guys will do anything ai??i?? canai??i??t debate so change numbers.ai??? The suggestion was clear as the Obama reelection campaign is based in Chicago. With the official 7.9 percent unemployment rate released by the Labor Department on Nov 2, and exceeding the most optimistic […]
